How We Teach at Our Austell Center
Every child’s program at our Austell center includes Relational Frame Theory (RFT), a way of teaching children to connect ideas so they can understand things they were never directly taught. For example, a child who learns that a dime is worth more than a nickel, and a quarter more than a dime, can work out that a quarter is worth more than a nickel. Your child’s BCBA measures these skills with the PEAK assessment when they start and every month after that. Learn how RFT works.
Results: 72% of clients who stay with us at least 12 months graduate to school, and 84% of those who start at age 3 or younger. See our outcomes.
Insurance we accept: Anthem, Cigna, Optum, Kaiser, Aetna, and Georgia Medicaid. See our insurance and Medicaid guides.
Frequently Asked Questions About ABA Therapy & Autism Services in Austell
Apollo Behavior accepts major insurance plans at our Austell center, including Anthem, Cigna, Optum, Kaiser, Aetna, and Georgia Medicaid. Our team checks your specific benefits before services begin and explains what your plan covers, so there are no surprises.
Yes. We serve families throughout Austell and nearby South Cobb communities, with scheduling built around routes many families already travel daily. We build sessions around your routine, not the other way around.
Look for BCBA oversight, small caseloads, individualized treatment plans, and a reliable attendance record. Apollo’s consistent sessions, low staff turnover, and dedicated family partnership reflect that same commitment to your child’s progress.
Center-based ABA is well-suited for children ages 2 to 6, when structured, repetition-rich environments support the fastest developmental gains. Apollo’s play-based, one-on-one sessions target communication, social skills, and school readiness. Reach out to our Austell team to see if it’s the right fit for your child.
Most families start therapy 2 to 6 weeks after their first call. That time covers the insurance check, your child’s assessment with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and building their treatment plan. Call us and we’ll give you the current timeline for the Austell center.
Yes, insurance requires a formal autism diagnosis before ABA therapy can begin. If your child doesn’t have one yet, Apollo Behavior offers diagnostic evaluations in-house, so you can start that step with us. If your child was just diagnosed, our guide to what to do after an autism diagnosis in Georgia walks you through the first steps.
Many of our centers bring in speech and occupational therapy partners who see children on site, so your child can get those services in the same building as their ABA therapy. When you call, we’ll tell you what’s available at the Austell center and help you get it set up.
Your child works one-on-one with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) throughout the day, with their BCBA on site supervising. Sessions mix play-based learning, small-group activities with other children, and practice of everyday skills such as communication, mealtimes and transitions. Our centers are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Yes. School readiness is one of the main goals for many children in our program. That includes following group instructions, waiting a turn, sitting for an activity, and moving between tasks. Among clients who complete 12 or more months with us, 72% have graduated to school. See our outcomes.
