Supporting Families Across East Cobb's Neighborhoods
Apollo Behavior serves families throughout East Cobb, including Indian Hills, the Walton and Lassiter school communities, the Pope area, and neighborhoods along Paper Mill Road. Families also come from nearby Marietta and Sandy Springs. Life here runs on school calendars and carpool lines, so our East Cobb ABA therapy schedules are built around dismissal times, with consistent sessions and clear communication between appointments.
Getting Started: Insurance, Assessment, and Clinical Oversight
Starting therapy should feel manageable from the first conversation. Georgia requires behavior analysts to hold state licensure, and Apollo’s BCBAs meet that standard.
- Step 1: Initial Conversation – A brief intake call helps us understand your child’s needs, routines, and goals.
- Step 2: Insurance Verification – We accept major plans, including Anthem, United / Optum, Cigna, and Aetna, and confirm your coverage details upfront.
- Step 3: Clinical Assessment – A Board Certified Behavior Analyst evaluates your child and builds an individualized program with measurable goals.
- Step 4: Ongoing Communication – Regular parent check-ins keep you informed as the program adjusts to your child’s progress.
Common Questions About East Cobb Autism Services
How We Teach at Our East Cobb Center
Every child’s program at our East Cobb center includes Relational Frame Theory (RFT), a way of teaching children to connect ideas so they can understand things they were never directly taught. For example, a child who learns that a dime is worth more than a nickel, and a quarter more than a dime, can work out that a quarter is worth more than a nickel. Your child’s BCBA measures these skills with the PEAK assessment when they start and every month after that. Learn how RFT works.
Results: 72% of clients who stay with us at least 12 months graduate to school, and 84% of those who start at age 3 or younger. See our outcomes.
Insurance we accept: Anthem, Cigna, Optum, Kaiser, Aetna, and Georgia Medicaid. See our insurance and Medicaid guides.
Apollo Behavior accepts major insurance plans at our East Cobb center, including Anthem, Cigna, Optum, Kaiser, Aetna, and Georgia Medicaid. Our team checks your specific benefits before services begin and explains what your plan covers, so there are no surprises.
Communication delays, difficulty with transitions, limited peer connections, or slow development of daily living skills can all be signs that ABA therapy may help. An evaluation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst can clarify whether an individualized program fits your child's goals.
Yes. We work with families throughout the area, and our dependable scheduling and responsive communication make autism services in East Cobb easy to fit into school-centered, activity-packed weeks.
Every program is designed and overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who sets individualized goals, monitors progress, and adjusts the plan as your child grows, so you have clear clinical accountability at every step.
Most families start therapy 2 to 6 weeks after their first call. That time covers the insurance check, your child's assessment with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and building their treatment plan. Call us and we'll give you the current timeline for the East Cobb center.
Yes, insurance requires a formal autism diagnosis before ABA therapy can begin. If your child doesn't have one yet, Apollo Behavior offers diagnostic evaluations in-house, so you can start that step with us. If your child was just diagnosed, our guide to what to do after an autism diagnosis in Georgia walks you through the first steps.
Many of our centers bring in speech and occupational therapy partners who see children on site, so your child can get those services in the same building as their ABA therapy. When you call, we'll tell you what's available at the East Cobb center and help you get it set up.
Your child works one-on-one with a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) throughout the day, with their BCBA on site supervising. Sessions mix play-based learning, small-group activities with other children, and practice of everyday skills such as communication, mealtimes and transitions. Our centers are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Yes. School readiness is one of the main goals for many children in our program. That includes following group instructions, waiting a turn, sitting for an activity, and moving between tasks. Among clients who complete 12 or more months with us, 72% have graduated to school. See our outcomes.
